new! Connect to the MRT from Bedrock Edition on your PC, Phone or Console using the MRT Proxy Service for Bedrock!
The MRT Proxy Service by Global Affairs Pixl is an alternative way to connect to the MRT server for players with lag/latency/ping issues.
To use it, connect to the IP pixl.sineware.ca:25567
and you will reach the MRT through the proxy service.
This service is a community-maintained offering, it is not an official MRT service. Use at your own risk!
The proxy uses 2 approaches to enable this:
This provides an option to players overseas, such as in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania.
The proxy is not magic! It only helps in certain situations (poor routing to the MRT), but there are many things that can cause lag that the proxy cannot fix! Additionally, if you already have a high quality connection to the server (ex. ping < 100ms), the proxy will most likely only increase your ping.
All of your data is encrypted by Minecraft!
When you connect to a Minecraft server, the server and client both handshake and exchange keys for AES encryption, where authentication happens through Mojang's Session Server, not through the connection to the server. Therefore, your credentials are never visible to the proxy.
Read more about protocol encryption.
The proxy is open source, licensed under the AGPL-3.0!
